I go back to work tomorrow...

which means I'll suddenly be so busy that I can't blog (translation: too tired and sleepy to think about blogging). But before too much time passes, I wanted to jot down a few details from the 2011 holiday season.

First, I had Christmas in Birmingham with the Anthonys. I received a Keurig, partook of some delicious lasagna and feasted on the best of company. It was a great way to start my break. Plus, I learned that you can roll your hair in a sock. (Ask me later)

Next was Christmas in Double Springs. We celebrated a 25th anniversary, spent time playing cards and watching movies, and then did what we do best... took tons of family portraits. Oh man, do we love family portraits. Also, notice how spirited everyone's Christmas sweaters are...

After Christmas, I headed to Houston to see John. It was simply a wonderful trip, full of laughter and long chats and skypes with Ashley. Friendship is absolutely better than anything in this world. We visited the Mormon Temple, saw the creatures of the zoo, got attacked by creatures at the zoo (ask me for that story too), bought a new car and went shopping for apartments. It was a crazy four days, but we soaked up every minute.
